Nutrition and lifestyle data is used solely to:

3. AI Food Scan & Third-Party AI Processing

When you use the AI Food Scan feature:

• The selected food image is securely transmitted via encrypted HTTPS connection.
• The image is sent to our AI processing provider: OpenAI, L.L.C..
• The purpose of transmission is strictly to analyze food items and estimate calorie and nutrition values.

3.1 What Data Is Sent

• The food image you upload
• Optional contextual prompt data required for analysis

No account passwords, health history, or unrelated personal data are sent to the AI provider.

3.2 User Consent

Before using AI Food Scan for the first time, users are informed that their selected food image will be processed by a third-party AI service and must provide explicit consent.

Users may choose not to use the AI Food Scan feature at any time.

3.3 Data Storage & Retention

• Images are processed for analysis purposes only.
• Images are not used for advertising or marketing profiling.
• We do not sell or license image data.
• Food scan results are stored in the user’s account for tracking history unless deleted.

OpenAI processes data in accordance with its own privacy and security standards and does not use API-submitted data for advertising purposes.

4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party providers for:

• Cloud database storage
• Authentication services
• Analytics and crash reporting
• AI processing services (OpenAI, L.L.C.)

These providers process data solely on our behalf and under contractual obligations requiring appropriate data protection.
